Former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher blasted the recent boycotts of the NBA Playoffs amid the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin on August 23. Blake was an African-American who was shot seven times by police officers after he was allegedly resisting arrest. He is currently fighting for his life as protests both on the streets and social media continue to rise. Something that the Hall of Famer wasn't buying in to.

Urlacher showed distraught over the NBA players and teams peacefully protesting yet another unlawful shooting incident on the hands of the police force and didn't mince his words on his Instagram Stories.

“Brett Favre played the MNF game the day his dad died, threw 4 TDs in the first half, and was a legend for playing in the face of adversity,” Urlacher posted. “NBA players boycott the playoffs because a dude reaching for a knife, wanted on a felony sexual assault warrant, was shot by police.”

Apparently, the post of Urlacher came shortly after he liked an Instagram post in support of Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old who drove all the way to Wisconsin to open-fire on the protesters. Rittenhouse has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after killing two civilians.

Since his post, a lot of sports personalities have come out to call out the eight-time Pro Bowler amid his seemingly sensitive remarks. The Bears have also issued their own statement to distance themselves from their former player.

“The social media posts in no way reflect the values or opinions of the Chicago Bears organization,” the statement said (h/t Yahoo! Sports).
