Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Wednesday’s Chicago White Sox-Detroit Tigers game, and he meant business.

Nagy gave his first hint about how the first pitch would go when he started rubbing the ball up before he went out to the mound like a true pro.

He then took the mound, wound up, and showed us all that he can bring the heat.

Of course, the person throwing the first pitch wants to throw it well. As we all know, that's not always the case. And just like Nagy brought the heat here, he's hoping his team can bring some fire to the football field this season.

That success will be dependent on quarterback Mitch Trubisky's continued growth.

The Bears enter the upcoming season as Super Bowl contenders. But in order for them to take that next step and join the 1985 team in franchise lore, they’ll need their most important player to make the leap from inconsistent youngster learning the ropes to a legitimate franchise quarterback.

The combination of Nagy and Trubisky has already proved to be impactful, as Trubisky made significant strides under Nagy compared to his rookie season. As Trubisky enters his second year in Nagy’s offense, there’s an expectation for him to make an even greater leap as he has a better understanding.

It's not hard to find reasons to like the Bears this season. Hopefully, they can bring the same heat as their coach when the season starts.
