The Chicago Bears are in dismay at the news of possibly losing running back Tarik Cohen to a torn ACL, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cohen had been a Swiss army knife halfback for the Bears in the 2020 NFL season so far. Through nearly three games, Cohen had 74 rushing yards. He'd seen most of his action alongside fellow behind running back David Montgomery, who had a decent performance in the Bears' win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Cohen had recently signed an extension with the Bears last week that would carry him through the next three years. The deal was reportedly worth $17.25 million.

The Bears will now lean on Montgomery along with their wideouts to carry the torch in Cohen's absence. His catching presence will be missed as well. He finished the game against the Falcons with three receptions for 20 yards. Allen Robinson II and Jimmy Graham will continue to have impressive games as well to make up for the absence of Cohen.

Head coach Matt Nagy confirmed the torn ACL, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The 25-year-old will miss the remainder of the season due to the injury, putting pressure on the undefeated Chicago Bears to continue their success with one less piece in their offensive arsenal.

Quarterbacks Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky will have to continue to be successful and interchangeable as the season continues to provide diversity to the Bears' offense. Both quarterbacks threw for a total of 316 yards along with four touchdowns in Week 3 as Foles entered the game to lead a 20-point fourth-quarterback comeback over the Falcons for the Week 3 win.
