The Chicago Bears will be one of the most interesting teams to watch in 2019. They came out of nowhere to win the NFC North last season and defied all expectations in Matt Nagy's first year as coach.

They made a bold offseason trade for Khalil Mack, who helped turn the defense into the league's best unit. The pressure is on now to keep it up. They had some significant departures this offseason. Despite that, oddsmakers still respect them heading into next season.

NFL season win totals are out, and the Bears are tied with the Packers for the highest total in the division. Both Chicago and Green Bay opened at 9.5, while the Minnesota Vikings are at 9, courtesy of our friends over at Betonline.ag. If they want to repeat as division champions, the Bears will need Mitchell Trubisky to take the next step in his development, and for the defense to avoid any regression.

The defense lost starters Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan in free agency, and it didn't only lose players. It also lost its architect, Vic Fangio, who left to become the new head coach of the Denver Broncos.

The division will also likely be tougher next year. The Packers have added a lot of pieces, and should have a rejuvenated Aaron Rodgers under center with new coach Matt LaFleur. The Vikings underachieved last year, and still have the talent to compete in the division. Ten wins certainly is doable, but the Bears will need to bring their A-game and avoid any hangover from last season's success.
