There was much optimism heading into Justin Fields' first career start in the NFL, but in the end, it turned out to be a performance to forget as the Chicago Bears came away with a 26-6 road loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

The Bears offense struggled to get much going over the course of the game, thanks to the 47 total yards recorded and lowly 1-11 third down conversion efficiency. For Fields, he found no success in the air or on the ground, as he was sacked nine times and finished with a mere one net passing yard.

In speaking during his post-game press conference, Bears head coach Matt Nagy offered his initial takeaways on his team's performance today, where he acknowledged on just how lackluster of a showing it was.

“This is not how we wanted it to go,” Nagy said. “You almost can’t make it up. It was that bad.”

Nagy also went ahead and took full responsibility for the Bears’ dismal offensive outing.

“I obviously as a head coach did not do a good enough job of getting this offense ready to go,” Nagy said. “It starts with me and it ends with me and it's simple as that.”

There is also now early concern as to whether Fields will be under center for the Bears in their upcoming home matchup against the Detroit Lions, as Nagy added that the rookie quarterback hurt his hand during the late stages of today's game. For the moment, Andy Dalton is currently sidelined due to a knee injury, so Nick Foles may be in line for his first start of the season should Fields miss next week's contest.

The pressure continues to mount on Nagy at this early stage in the season, as Chicago is off to an underwhelming 1-2 start.
