The Chicago Bears were one of the top teams in the NFC this past season, winning 12 games and capturing the NFC North division title to make their first playoff appearance since the 2010-11 campaign.

Now that the Bears have shown that they are a really good football team, they understand that a target will be on their backs heading into next season.

“As coach [Matt] Nagy said, we’re the hunted now,” said Bears chairman George McCaskey, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune. “He welcomes that, and I’m sure Tarik (Cohen) and his teammates do also.”

Chicago will open up its 2019 campaign at home against the Green Bay Packers. Last year, the Bears also opened up against the Packers, but on the road. They went on to blow a lead in a 24-23 loss, and Cohen remembers that.

“We came out the way we wanted to come out and we didn’t finish the game,” Cohen said. “That still is unfinished business. We know this time we have to finish the game.”

Obviously, Cohen and Co. got the last laugh last season, as the Bears ended up clinching the NFC North division crown with a win over the Packers at Soldier Field late in the year.

However, they clearly have not gotten the taste of 2018's season-opening loss out of their mouths, so they are out for some revenge.

Thanks to an outstanding defense and an improving offense, the Bears should once again be one of the best teams in the conference in 2019.
