Chicago Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks left Monday night's 31-15 win over the Washington Redskins early with a knee injury. However, fret not: Chicago is not concerned about the injury.

In optimistic Matt Nagy fashion, the Bears coach doesn't believe Hicks is dealing with a serious injury.

He said during Tuesday's press conference:

“I really believe it’s more of just a wear-and-tear type thing. He just got a little bit sore yesterday in the game. I think he’ll be OK. At least we’ll feel it out here in the next couple of days.”

Hicks left FedEx Field on Monday with a noticeable limp. The media noticed, specifically Bears beat writer Brad Biggs of Chicago Tribune. Biggs caught a video of Hicks' limp, which he put on Twitter.

Hicks replied to the tweet. Unfortunately for Biggs, it was brutal. The Bears defensive lineman responded by saying:

“Only a guy that wears 6x shirts would video tape someone like this.”

He also shared a picture of Biggs. He clearly didn't like his limp being spread on Twitter.

Brutal.

Luckily, not as brutal as Hicks' injury.

While the exact severity and placement of the injury are unknown, the Bears sound optimistic that Hicks won't be on the sideline very long. However, if he is, the team will employ Bilal Nichols to create pressure in the interior of a staunch Chicago defensive line.

The 2-1 Bears face the 2-1 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. Against a division rival, they could use the help of Hicks, who is coming off a Pro Bowl appearance in 2018.
