The prospect of fans proposing at sporting events has always been cheesy, but what about when players do it?

That's what happened on Sunday afternoon, when Chicago Bears offensive lineman Charles Leno asked his girlfriend to marry him after the Bears clinched the NFC North division title with a win over the Green Bay Packers.

Here is the aftermath:

So in the span of a couple of hours, Leno and his Bears beat the hated-rival Packers, clinched the division crown and got a yes from his girlfriend? Sounds like an outstanding day for Leno.

Leno, who played his collegiate football at Boise State University, was originally selected by Chicago in the seventh round (246th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in just six games during his rookie campaign, but by his second year, Leno was a full-time starter at left tackle for the Bears.

Since then, Leno has played in every single game.

For the Bears, it's their first playoff appearance since the 2010-11 campaign, when they won the NFC North but lost to the Packers (ironically enough) in the NFC Championship Game.

Up until this year, Chicago had posted just one winning record since that point, tallying 10 wins in 2012.

Postseason trips in general have been a rare occurrence for the Bears. Since 1995, Chicago has made the playoffs just four times, including a Super Bowl appearance during the 2006-07 campaign.

The Bears will spend their final two weeks of the regular season on the road. First, they will head out west to take on the San Francisco 49ers next weekend. Then, they will wrap things up when they head up to Minnesota to battle the Vikings on Dec. 30.
