Many have already been left in awe of watching new Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, including tight end Jimmy Graham, who has seen some Russell Wilson-esque play from the former Ohio State star.

The Bears kicked off their training camp schedule last week. Fields has been among the Bears' more promising performers so far, which has garnered the early approval of head coach Matt Nagy.

Graham has had other takeaways from watching Fields throw the football in training camp.

The five-time Pro Bowler is well experienced in playing alongside some of the top quarterbacks of the last decade, which include his three-season run under Russell Wilson while with the Seattle Seahawks.

So far, Graham is seeing some Wilson-type play from the rookie QB.

Speaking during Bears training camp on Thursday, Graham took note of his early impression of watching Fields and likened the rookie's style of play to the one-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

“Definitely reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson,” Graham said. “He wants to be great. He puts in the work. The guy really can throw the ball. That’s been impressive to see his arm strength.

“At some point I’ve got to get him matched up at some point with a guy up there in Seattle. Especially, you know, the ability to make plays while you’re running. It’s been impressive to see him so young, so focused.”

Graham is not the first person to see some similarities in Fields' play style with Wilson. Former NFL linebacker and current NFL Network analyst Willie McGinest also recently drew some comparisons between the two talents.

For Fields, he is well looking to emulate the play of Wilson. After the Bears drafted him in the 2021 NFL Draft, Fields noted that he has been looking to become more of a “Russell Wilson-type quarterback”.

Fields joins Chicago with plenty of high expectations, and it will be noteworthy to see just how his rookie season in the NFL will pan out.
