With training camps underway, teams around the NFL are conducting workouts with free agents. The Chicago Bears hosted a couple of them on Monday. As the Bears prepare for the upcoming campaign, they held workouts for four players, including CJ Prosise and Kevin Hogan, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Entering training camp, Chicago is holding a quarterback competition between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles. Still, the team seems to be interested in adding another quarterback to the roster, conducting workouts with Hogan and Kyle Sloter.

Hogan spent the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos after he had a short stay with the Washington Football Team in 2018. His last game action came in 2017 when he suited up in four games for the Cleveland Browns. Altogether, in those four outings, Hogan combined for 517 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Besides Hogan, the Bears brought Prosise in for a workout in hopes to see if he could add some depth at running back. Currently, Chicago's backfield is made up of David Montgomery, Tarik Cohen, and Ryan Nall. Meanwhile, Artavis Pierce — an undrafted rookie out of Oregon State — is hoping to earn a spot on the roster.

Prosise has spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks after being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In those four seasons, Prosise flashed potential as a receiving threat, averaging 10.9 yards per reception on 36 catches. Along with the Bears, he recently worked out for another NFC North team in the Detroit Lions.

The Bears are extremely confident in their quarterback and running back situations in 2020. But if one of the players they worked out on Monday performed well, Chicago could be adding some depth at two important positions.
