Chicago Bears all-purpose threat Cordarrelle Patterson had two words when asked why he decided to sign with the Bears, Matt Nagy. Patterson can return kicks, run out of the backfield, and catch passes, and he has been impressed watching what Nagy can do.

Patterson knows he has a lot of different talents, and he knows Nagy will put him in the right position to be able to show off them all.

“If you really pay attention to football and see the things that coach Nagy did in the past — coming to the Bears was a no-brainer,” Patterson, who signed a two-year deal as a free agent, told ESPN.com.

“I just want to come in and showcase my talent, and coach Nagy, there are a lot of different things he can do on the football field to help players like me out. He tries to get the ball to everyone on the field, not just one person. As a guy coming into a new system, that's what you want from your head coach. You want a guy that's going to spread the ball around and get it to everybody.”

Nagy has done a good job of getting the most out of his players, and with Patterson's versatility, it's going to be quite the weapon to use.

When Nagy was with the Kansas City Chiefs, he liked to use Tyreek Hill in a lot of different ways, and although Patterson isn't as good of wide receiver, he could play a similar role with the Bears.
