The Chicago Bears will be without starting running back David Montgomery in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Montgomery suffered a concussion in Week 9 versus the Tennessee Titans.

David Montgomery has really struggled this season, mostly because the Bears have the worst offensive line in the NFL. The 23-year-old has carried the ball 131 times for only 472 yards and one touchdown. Chicago has the worst rushing attack in the NFL heading into Week 10.

The Bears, after starting the season at 5-1, have lost three straight games and are now 5-4. They are in second place in the NFC North standings. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are atop the division with a record of 6-2.

Chicago head coach Matt Nagy, who is 4-0 against the Vikings since becoming the coach of the Bears in 2018, won't be calling plays in Week 10. He gave up his play-calling duties on Friday to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor.

Unfortunately for Lazor, he won't have Montgomery or Tarik Cohen, who was lost for the season in Week 3 after tearing his ACL against the Atlanta Falcons. Wideout and returner Cordarrelle Patterson may get most of the carries from the backfield since Montgomery is out.

It's going to be fascinating to see how Lazor's play-calling is different from Nagy's. Bears fans are just hoping for a win on Monday Night Football. The last time Chicago played on ESPN, they got blown out by the Los Angeles Rams.
