The Chicago Bears are just nine days away from hosting the Green Bay Packers in their season opener, and the Bears are already getting ready to try and stop Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense.

Bears safety Eddie Jackson says that Chicago's starters are “all in” on preparations for Green Bay in Week 1, according to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN NFL Nation. That is an indication that the Bears don't even particularly care about their final preseason game this Thursday, which is not too surprising.

Chicago split its two games with the Packers last season, losing the season opener in Green Bay before defeating the Packers to capture the NFC North division title at Soldier Field in mid-December.

The Bears ended up winning 12 games on the year, while the Packers finished 6-9-1.

Jackson is a huge piece of what is a dominant Chicago defense, as he is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played 14 games and racked up 51 tackles, a sack, six interceptions, a couple of forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, 15 passes defended and three defensive touchdowns, making the Pro Bowl and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in the process.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Bears in the fourth round (112th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He appeared in all 16 contests during his rookie year, totaling 70 tackles, a pair of picks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, six passes defended and two defensive scores.

The Bears are aiming to make back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2006.
