The Chicago Bears' Week 2 hero may not get to be heroic on Monday night. According to Chicago's injury report, kicker Eddy Pineiro is questionable to play against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football with a right knee injury.

Pineiro became the man in Chicago after drilling a 53-yard field goal as time expired to beat the Denver Broncos in a Week 2 thriller. He was named as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts.

Over the course of two weeks, Pineiro has done nothing to become the kicking villain of the city — unlike an unnamed somebody — as he's four for four on field goals and has made all of his one extra-point attempts.

Pineiro is a late addition to the injury report. According to Adam Jahns of The Athletic, he did not kick on Friday, but practiced on Saturday. He reportedly suffered the injury in the weight room. However, coach Matt Nagy said “I really do think he will be OK,” per Jahns.

If out, the Bears will have to search for a kicker again. There is a possibility the team may bring in a familiar face in Elliot Fry if they are forced to look for outside help. The kicking competition came own to Fry and Pineiro because the Bears cut the former. He spent the rest of the preseason with the Baltimore Ravens and is currently available.

The Bears are 1-1 and are seeking an away win over the Redskins on Monday, who stands at 0-2.
