Every football fan has heard of the notorious Double-Doink. The infamous play sent the Chicago Bears packing from the playoffs after Cody Parkey missed a 43-yard kick. Since that moment, the Bears have been on the hunt for a capable kicker. They seem to have found one in former Oakland Raider Eddy Pineiro. Just like defensive end Khalil Mack, Pineiro will face his former team in Week 5.

Pineiro has been dealing with a lingering knee injury, but seems to be on the mend. when asked by Grant Gordon of the NFL, Pinerio's outlook was optimistic:

“I think my knee is getting a lot better. The training staff here is doing a great job. I'm trying to recover as fast as I can and the bye week's going to be a big week for me to get completely healthy.” Pineiro said.

Pineiro, who didn't play football until his college years, has been extremely impressive. Anyone who inherited the Chicago kicking job was sure to inherit incredible pressure. Pineiro has handled himself well all throughout training camp, where head coach Matt Nagy hosted a bizarre eight-kicker tryout. Pineiro came away with the job, and has been money ever since. He's missed only one field goal, and is perfect on extra points (knock on wood). Pineiro also nailed a game-winner against the Denver Broncos to save the Bears from ever having a losing record. Without him, Chicago is sitting at 2-2 in a much worse spot in the NFC North.
