According to a Monday evening report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, veteran tight end Jimmy Graham has landed in the “Windy City.” Not only that, but the Chicago Bears have agreed to a multi-year contract with Graham, who will now earn a total of $16 million over the course of the next two seasons.

With $9 million guaranteed as a result of the newly inked two-year free-agent contract, the Bears have perhaps more importantly managed to improve while the team's arch-rival in the Green Bay Packers loses a veteran leader and talented pass catcher. Although there was no hope for Graham in Green Bay passed this past season, one must think that the Packers would have liked to see him land outside the NFC North division, which seemingly grows stronger by the day.

The 33-year-old Graham became a household name as a member of the New Orleans Saints before finding himself in the Pacific Northwest as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. After spending the first five seasons of his NFL career in New Orleans, he was then traded to Seattle in a blockbuster deal, which resulted in a three-year stint with the Seahawks. Graham then went on to spend a pair of seasons as a member of the aforementioned Packers, the last of which was quite underwhelming.

It is also worth noting that the Bears have quite the talented tight end group, assuming everyone remains healthy, as Chicago is now sporting a duo of Graham and Trey Burton at this position. However, neither Graham nor Burton have come along with a low price tag as this tandem must produce for Chicago before it is too late.
