When the Chicago Bears picked up tight-end Jimmy Graham from the free agency market, no one batted an eye, probably because critics believe that the 33-year-old is well at the tail end of his career. But in a recent interview, Graham clapped back at his critics, noting that he's still in tiptop shape.

“I'm still fast. … I still have the ability to make big plays,” Graham said during a conference call with Chicago media, per Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.

His comments come in after inking a two-year deal with the Bears — a deal that was largely snubbed by analysts. After all, Graham was released by the Green Bay Packers on March 12. In what would be his last season with them, Graham recorded 38 catches for 447 yards — by far his worst production since his rookie year.

Despite this, Graham still believes that he has a ton left in the tank. He noted that over the last 10 years, he has only missed six games, which is a testament to his stamina. In addition, he highlighted the fact that in some games, he's coming off an injury but still manages to perform up to par.

“I'm going to get back to being me. I'm going to get back to making big plays and scoring touchdowns because I think I'm somewhere in the top of scoring touchdowns and I want to continue that. I want to continue climbing that list and get to where I'm supposed to be.”

Perhaps only time can tell if Graham completely hushes his critics.
