There aren't many metrics out there that would place Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields ahead of Aaron Rodgers in pretty much any category. Statistically speaking, Rodgers is lightyears ahead of Fields, and regardless of your opinion on him, Rodgers towers over the Bears rookie in terms of his celebrity status. That's why it comes as such a surprise that Fields managed to surpass Rodgers in one unique metric: jersey sales in the state of Wisconsin. According to data from Lids, the most popular NFL jersey sold in the state of Wisconsin throughout 2021 was none other than Justin Fields' No. 1 Bears jersey.

It should come as no surprise that Tom Brady is the dominating name among jersey sales throughout the nation. Still, you'd expect Rodgers to be the most-purchased jersey in the state of Wisconsin. Not only was it not Rodgers, but it wasn't even a Packers player who generated the most jersey sales in the state. While the figures behind the sales remain unclear, it's certainly a concern that Fields' No. 1 jersey was the No. 1 seller in the state.

Sure, it can be argued that most Packers fans probably already own a Rodgers jersey. After all, he's been in the league since 2005, giving fans ample time to have gone out and purchased one of his jerseys throughout the past two decades. Regardless of the reasoning for the high volume of Fields' jersey sales, fans in Green Bay will surely want to see take another look at this graphic next year, in hopes of seeing a Packers player topping the charts.
