Chicago Bears stars Khalil Mack and Allen Robinson were both held out of practice Wednesday due to their respective injuries. Bears coach Matt Nagy says that the injured star duo's preparation for their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills will be “very similar” to last week, per Larry Mayer of the team’s official website.

Mack and Robinson, who are dealing with an ankle and groin injury, respectively, also sat out practice last Wednesday as well as Thursday's session. They practiced on a limited basis on Friday but were ultimately deemed inactive against the Jets.

Mack initially injured his ankle against the Miami Dolphins back on Oct. 14. He was clearly limited by that injury against the New England Patriots in Week 7 and was deemed unable to go last week.

Robinson, meanwhile, left that Patriots game in the second half after aggravating his groin injury, which also ruled him out against the Jets.

Luckily, the Bears didn’t seem to be too troubled by the absence of their two big stars as they handled the Jets in a comfortable 24-10 win.

The Jets defense shut down rookie quarterback Sam Darnold, who went just 14 of 29 for 153 yards. Meanwhile, Taylor Gabriel, Joshua Bellamy, and rookie Anthony Miller stepped up as the top targets for Mitchell Trubisky in Robinson’s absence.

The Bears will obviously hope to have both Mack and Robinson back against the Bills. But with Buffalo’s struggles of late, there’s a more than decent chance the Bears pick up another win even if their injured stars remain absent.
