The Chicago Bears enter the offseason with star wide receiver, Allen Robinson set to hit the free-agent market. Robinson has been a solid receiver throughout his career, despite never having top-tier quarterbacks throughout.

Starting his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Robinson has been with the Bears for the last three seasons. In 2020, he finished with 1,250 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He's been the top receiver on the Bears roster and is less than 2,000 yards from becoming their all-time leader in yards.

However, it's unclear whether Robinson comes back to Chicago or not. They could re-sign him, franchise tag him or let him walk.

On Tuesday, General Manager Ryan Pace said there’s been “no firm decision” on tagging Robinson, as the wide receiver’s three-year contract with the Bears is up. And head coach Matt Nagy did his best to make Robinson feel valued during his Tuesday press conference. “A-Rob knows how much we love him,” Nagy said, via Kevin Fishbain of TheAthletic.com.

Making Robinson feel valuable is a key step in potentially retaining the standout receiver. With Robinson sending out some cryptic tweets, along with his want for a Super Bowl ring, he may be wanting to leave the Bears for a potential Super Bowl contender.

For Chicago, keeping Allen Robinson on the team is the best-case scenario. If he leaves, another need would have to be filled. The front office would have to find a new quarterback and a new receiver to fill in Robinson's place. A feat much easier said than done.

Either way, Robinson could receive the franchise tag and still be traded. Although the Bears would still have to replace their star receiver, it wouldn't be the worst thing for this franchise. If this happens, Robinson would likely be happy, as the trade would potentially lead to a long-term contract with a new team.
