Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has to be careful the next few days, as he had close contact with someone who had COVID-19. No big deal. It happens to the best of us.

That being said, possibly through no fault of his own, the reports about where he stands in regards to his vaccination happen to feel a bit strange.

To make sure I'm just not misreading it, here's the report:

So, first look at this reads like “Oh yeah. Matt Nagy got one of the two shots he needs.” All of that would be ideal if the reporter simply said that when talking about the Bears head coach. Alas, he didn't, and now my brain is doing a bunch of mental gymnastics.

What exactly does “in the process” mean when it comes to this situation. Is he just needing the second shot? Is he only at the part where he's thinking about getting the first shot? Is Matt Nagy one of those folk who spend too much time online, resulting with the guy wondering if he wants that free lifetime 5G that badly.

I don't have any of those answers. Just the questions. So, so many questions.

The good news is that the Chicago Bears drafted Justin Fields, who seems like a guy who is far ahead in his developmental process than Matt Nagy is in his vaccination counter. Go Bears! Boo Broncos for not drafting him.

Jokes aside, that just seems like a very poorly worded report. If it's not that, then… yikes!
