Former Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller clearly wants head coach Matt Nagy to put Mitchell Trubisky back as the starting quarterback over Nick Foles.

During the Bears' Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Miller tweeted the following picture:

The Bears lost to the Saints to drop to 5-3 on the season. Foles threw for two touchdowns and one interception. He has now thrown a pick in every game this season.

During his press conference with Bears reporters on Monday, Nagy talked about Miller's tweet that is making the rounds in Chicago now, via The Athletic:

“You know I love Zach. I wish I would have got to coach Zach. I think he would have done great in this offense, just the way he is and who he is as a person,” the Bears coach said on Monday. “And also, you know, Zach is friends with Mitch and I think that’s awesome.

“I didn’t see the tweet. I don’t know anything about that. But I think we all understand that we as a team, we watch tape, we watch video and we do what’s best … we make the best decision based off of how we do as a team, not just one position and so that’s what we do. I appreciate everyone’s opinions and thoughts, suggestions. But I think there’s a lot more to it right now than that.”

Matt Nagy benched Mitchell Trubisky for Nick Foles in the second half of the Atlanta Falcons game in Week 3. The former No. 2 overall pick threw six touchdowns and three interceptions on the season before getting pulled.

Since taking over for Trubisky, Foles has thrown eight touchdowns and seven picks. Some Bears fans want Nagy to go back to Trubisky since Mitch is 26-18 as a starter in Chicago and more mobile in the pocket than Foles.

The Bears will look to snap their two-game losing streak in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans. For now, it appears Nagy is sticking with Foles.
