The Chicago Bears may have clinched the NFC North on Sunday, but the win over the Green Bay Packers also brought back from memories for Matt Nagy about their week one showdown when the Bears lost in heartbreaking fashion.

“Ninety-eight days ago,” Nagy told Peter King of NBC’s Football Morning in America. “That’s the night we lost in Green Bay. . . . I will remember that night for the rest of my life. I will remember the look in those players’ eyes. I looked at those 50 guys and told them, ‘This is happening for a reason. You’re not gonna trust me right now, but this is a long season, and we’re only at Week One right now, and we’ll be okay.’ I wanted them to feel it for six hours, and then, next morning, to walk in with a smile on their faces.”

The Bears had every chance to win the game but everything that could go wrong, went that way. One of the biggest plays was Kyle Fuller dropping an interception that would have sealed the victory. That win also could have put the Bears in a better position come the playoff time, but that's all behind them now, even if Nagy is still thinking about it.

With the Bears victory on Sunday, they clinched the NFC North, and there is still a chance they could finish with the two seed with a strong finish and a slip up by the Los Angeles Rams. No matter what seed they are, they are going to be a team that no one wants to face come playoff time.
