Following a blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has tested positive for COVID-19. Via The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

As Rapoport noted, Nagy will now head into quarantine. The Bears don't play again until Sunday as they face the San Francisco 49ers, but it's unknown at this point if he'd be available to coach. This is certainly not ideal for Chicago, but the fans won't exactly be too disappointed. Bears nation have been calling for Nagy's head after a 3-4 start and especially for starting Andy Dalton earlier the season over rookie Justin Fields, who has now earned the QB1 role.

He's been at the helm for four years now and there hasn't exactly been a lot of improvements for the team. To be honest, it would be interesting to see how the Bears would do in Week 8 if he wasn't on the sidelines. If the outcome is actually positive, it's probably going to put even more pressure on Nagy.

The frustrating is evidently growing around the Bears organization and the head coach. A week away from the team might now be such a bad thing after all. Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor is expected to guide the ship this week in Nagy's absence.
