Things are not going well in the Windy City this season.

The Chicago Bears have lost four games in a row to drop to 3-5 on the year, Mitchell Trubisky has regressed, the running game is virtually non-existent and the defense has actually taken a step back from last season.

As a result, there are some who feel that head coach Matt Nagy should be on the hot seat in his second year at the helm, but in spite of all of the noise, Nagy is maintaining a positive outlook.

“That’s a big part of it,” Nagy said, according to Dan Wiederer of The Chicago Tribune. “We stay positive and we fight through it. It’s going to come, it’s just a matter of when. And I know it’s hard for everybody. It’s hard for us and it’s hard for everybody out there. But I’m all about positivity, and that’s the way we attack it.”

For a Bears team that won 12 games and captured the NFC North division title in 2018 and had Super Bowl aspirations coming into this season, the way they have performed has to be frustrating for them, but Nagy trusts his players.

“I have all the belief in those guys and how they’re going to handle themselves,” Nagy said. “Even after a four-game losing streak. What happens is you see their character jump up even more and you realize that they lead themselves defensively. Just all in all, the whole unit, they feed off that. So I have confidence they won’t get burned out.”
