Mike Davis hasn't been a member of the Chicago Bears for very long, as he just signed with the club earlier this offseason, but he is already sticking up for his teammates.

In this case, he stood behind Mitchell Trubisky, who earned a 75 rating in Madden 20, which Davis thought was a bit too low:

Trubisky did indeed make the Pro Bowl this past season, but his numbers weren't exactly stellar, as he threw for 3,223 yards, 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 66.6 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 95.4.

He also rushed for 421 yards and three scores.

Still, in spite of the fact that Trubisky probably didn't deserve a Pro Bowl selection, a 75 rating certainly seems a bit low.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of North Carolina, was originally selected by the Bears with the second overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He went on to make 12 starts during his rookie campaign, throwing for 2,193 yards, seven touchdowns and seven picks while completing 59.4 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 77.5. In addition, he totaled 248 yards and a couple of scores on the ground.

Even though Trubisky has been considered a disappointment by many thus far, you can't ignore the fact that he showed marked improvement from Year 1 to Year 2, so perhaps the Mentor, Oh. native will take a big jump in Year 3.

Chicago won 12 games and captured the NFC North division title in 2018, ultimately falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
