Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky wasn't expected to practice this week, but on Wednesday he did get some reps in a limited fashion.

According to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune via Pro Football Talk, Trubisky was working on drills involving his footwork, but he didn't make any throws during the portion of practice that was open to the media. Trubisky is still dealing with an injury to his right shoulder, and signs still point to Chase Daniels getting the start on Sunday against the New York Giants.

Bears coach Matt Nagy said it's probably going to come down to a game-time decision.

“It’s going to continue to be one of those day-to-day things with him,” Nagy said Wednesday “I don’t know his exact pain tolerance or level right now. But I definitely think his arrow’s up right now, and we’ll just have to kind of keep communicating with him on a day-to-day basis as to where he’s at, how he feels.”

The Bears want to start Trubisky, but they also seem to have a lot of confidence in Daniels so unless he is close to 100 percent, it's hard to imagine he will get the start in this game. Daniels and Nagy have been together a long time, and it's clear they are both comfortable with each other.

Against the Lions, Daniels threw for 230 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He did an excellent job of being a game manager and making the big throw when it was needed to be made.
