Mitchell Trubisky will be back under center for the Chicago Bears this weekend. The former No. 2 overall pick will start Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers as Nick Foles is dealing with a hip injury.

Trubisky began the year as Chicago's starters, even leading the team to a 2-0 record in his first two starts.

But the former North Carolina product was also open to criticism due to more poor play after an underwhelming 2019 campaign. Trubisky was replaced by Foles in a Week 3 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons and, after Foles led the team to a comeback win, lost his job as the starter.

However, Foles suffered a hip injury after being driven to the ground late in the team's Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The former Super Bowl MVP had a bye week to recover, but it does not appear Foles is ready to play.

Thus, Trubisky will get his first shot at starting since Week 3.

The 26-year-old actually did make a brief appearance after losing the starting job. Mitchell Trubisky came in to run a quarterback option during the team's loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8. He was injured on the play.

But with Nick Foles ailing, Trubisky has made progress and done enough to make head coach Matt Nagy feel more comfortable naming him the starter.

Chicago's playoff hopes are on the fringes. The Bears have lost four straight after starting 5-1, and they face an enormous test this weekend against the Packers.

Needless to say, Trubisky enters this one with quite a bit to prove.
