The Chicago Bears are one of the many teams in the NFL that could use Kareem Hunt's services. After a disappointing season from their running back Jordan Howard, many thought Matt Nagy would be interested in bringing in his former running back in Hunt.

Hunt had been cut by the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this past season. The league had put him on the Commissioner-Exempt List on Nov. 30 after a video of him shoving and kicking a woman surfaced online.

The Bears' organization has made it clear that they are not looking to acquire him. Even though he is a talented player, ownership would like him to focus on bettering his personal life.

Chicago Bears owner George McCasky told the Chicago Tribune:

“Ryan said we’re not there yet; I think that’s the best way to put it. He’s not eligible right now. He may not become eligible for quite some time. I think the important thing, as Matt pointed out, is that he addresses his personal situation before worrying about football. This is a vexing social problem that everybody needs to be concerned about. Violence by a man against a woman should offend everyone regardless of gender. But . . .she and I are like-minded. She entrusts me with this responsibility to make this assessment on behalf of ownership.”

Likely Hunt will be suspended for a substantial amount of time next season. It will be surprising if a team doesn't give him a flyer coming into the season, whether it be the Bears or not remains to be seen.
