Bad things can happen when a 5'6″ speedy running back meets face-to-face with a 6'3″ hulking defensive end. That was what happened when Chicago Bear Tarik Cohen met Atlanta Falcon Dante Fowler two seasons ago.

The 2018 Pro Bowler laughed off the incident via a video posted on Twitter:

Tarik Cohen contributed 213 rushing yards on 79 receptions and scored 3 receiving touchdowns for the Bears last season. His team concluded with a subpar 8-8 record to sit in third place in the NFC North division.

On the other hand, former Los Angeles Rams defensive end Dante Fowler recorded 40 solo tackles, 11.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles for his team last season. The Rams finished with a better 9-7 record in a stacked NFC West division but still failed to march onto the playoffs.

The five-year veteran recently agreed to a three-year, $48 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons. His invaluable playoff experience and veteran presence will be a huge boost for the Falcons' defensive shore. The Atlanta-based team finished in second place in the NFC South division with a 7-9 record last season.

Their next matchup will surely be a sight to see for the two opposing players as their teams are scheduled to face each other on September 27 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

Before that, the Bears will commence the 2020 NFL season as they head to Detroit to match up with the rebuilding Lions on September 13 at Ford Field. Meanwhile, the Falcons will be hosting a dangerous Seattle Seahawks side on the same day at their home turf.
