The Chicago Bears' offense hasn't lived up to expectations in 2019. The team has been plagued by inconsistent quarterback play, and now has to deal with an injury to one of its playmakers. Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel will miss his second straight game, according to Ian Rapoport.

While this may not seem like a huge blow to the team, it's more important than many realize. Gabriel has developed into a reliable weapon across from Allen Robinson, and he's Chicago's second-best pass-catcher. Despite being drafted in the second round, receiver Anthony Miller has been inconsistent and seems to have fallen out of the favor of the coaching staff. Tight end Trey Burton has been a free agent bust during his time in the Windy City.

The Bears' favored option to replace Gabriel is Javon Wims. The former Georgia Bulldog was a seventh round pick in the 2018 draft, and is getting his first taste of meaningful game action. He started in week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings, and played admirably. Wims posted four catches for 56 yards, despite playing with backup quarterback Chase Daniel.

Chicago will roll out the aforementioned Daniel again in week 5 against the Oakland Raiders. The Bears won't have the help of a friendly Soldier Field crowd in this one, as it will be played in London. The Raiders aren't a great team, and Chicago's defense is nearly fully healthy. Expect another dominant showing from Khalil Mack in his revenge game, and eventually a 4-1 Bears team.
