Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller, who it was once believed might lose his leg, is now out of the hospital. Clearly good news for both the National Football League veteran and those who prefer their athletes not in hospital beds.

According to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune, Miller was transported back to a Chicago hospital on Nov. 6 via private plane, and has been there since. He’s had multiple procedures on his knee.

There's been zero update as to what awaits as far as his playing career is concerned. Given the context of the situation, that is one of the least important things about this entire situation.

Zach Miller was carted off the field in the third quarter of a game against the New Orleans Saints earlier this season. Following that, the scary reports about potential leg loss began to emerge.

This is the first huge report to surface about the tight end in some time. The last we really heard about him on a national level was from Chicago Bears head coach John Fox, who wasn't exactly providing a ton of detailed information.

Nevertheless, the important thing is that Miller is home with all of his limbs still connected to his body. While he likely still has an incredibly long recover road waiting for him, at least he gets to get back to the far more comfortable confines of his house.

There's really nothing else that can be done here other than wishing Miller the best from here on out. Everyone is rooting for the guy to make a full recovery.
