The Chicago Bears‘ brass still found plenty of reasons to keep both head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace at the helm moving forward. Despite their 8-8 regular season record, the decision-makers still continue to put a lot of trust in the leadership of the two individuals.

According to Brad Spielberger, the Bears owner was reportedly impressed in their handling of the team's six-game losing streak.

Team chairman George McCaskey shared that he was frustrated just like everyone else but he also knows that both Pace and Nagy will need time to grow in their respective roles, via Chris Emma.

Bears president Ted Phillips also spoke on the matter and said that they are going to continue on the success that they have attained while also recognizing their failures moving forward.

Phillips also claimed that the Bears have ‘the football culture that all teams strive for', shortly after their loss against the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round, per Jason Lieser.

McCaskey, on the other hand, still believes that the Bears have what it takes to compete for a title in the future. He noted that the team had a good performance in the 2020 NFL Draft and successfully braved adversity during the regular season.

The Bears had a roller-coaster campaign in the 2020 NFL season. They started the season by winning five of their first six games but eventually dwindled to have a six-game losing skid. Nagy recuperated his squad to conclude the regular season with a three-game winning streak to punch their ticket to the postseason.

Despite the early exit, it looks like Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace will still remain in Windy City after all the events that transpired. The Bears' brass believes that the two individuals will bring them to the promised land and the upcoming season will tell whether or not their decision to retain both of them was the best move for the team.
