Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky led an on-field workout with his skill position players on Wednesday. Trubisky worked on concepts with No. 1 receiver Allen Robinson, as well as rookie tight end Cole Kmet and second-year running back David Montgomery.

The Instagram video shows the Bears quarterback trying to get a feel for his timing with his pass-catchers while also displaying some pocket footwork.

This is the most pivotal offseason of Trubisky's young career.

The former No. 2 overall pick is preparing for a quarterback competition after the Bears traded for journeyman signal-caller Nick Foles earlier this offseason.

Trubisky had a rough 2019 season, one in which he struggled to help the Bears move the ball or make big throws down the field. Chicago is hoping the competition between Foles and Trubisky will help both quarterbacks get the best out of one another.

But Trubisky is not sulking or resting on his laurels. Instead, he appears to be turning motivation into action and gathering more familiarity with his teammates ahead of training camp.
