It appeared that Detroit Lions quarterback David Blough was on the precipice of delivering a Thanksgiving victory in his first career NFL start, but on a crucial third down with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter, Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith had other ideas in mind.

The sack from Smith marks his second of the 2019 season after having reeled off five during his rookie year in '18. Entering the day, Smith had yet to bring down an opposing signal caller across any of his 10 games, but Thursday saw him have arguably the most dominant performance of his career with 15 tackles (10 of which were of the solo variety) and two sacks to his name.

His outing marks his fifth double-digit tackle contest of the season. At still just 22 years old, Smith both simultaneously serves as an anchor of the Chicago defense, while just appearing to scratch the surface of what his potential could ultimately see him become.
