The Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos will take part in an interconference matchup in Week 2. Both teams came away with losses in Week 1 after being beaten by division rivals.

The Bears kicked off against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football to begin the 2019 season. After a successful first season under Matt Nagy, Chicago's first game in 2019 was a disappointing one for their offense.

Mitchell Trubisky struggled in Week 1, completing just 26 of his 45 attempts for 228 yards. Furthermore, Trubisky's worst stat came in the form of a late-game interception that sealed Chicago's fate. The Bears would end up falling to the Packers by the score of 10-3.

On the other hand, the Broncos squared off against the Oakland Raiders amid the drama surrounding Antonio Brown. Despite the theatrics with Brown, the Raiders were able to overcome his release with Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller.

Derek Carr also impressed by completing 22 of his 26 attempts for 259 yards and a touchdown. Along with the aerial attack, rookie Josh Jacobs also gashed the Broncos defense for 113 scrimmage yards and two scores.

Vic Fangio didn't envision his first career game to go the way it did but he'll have a chance to make some adjustments for Week 2. With that being said, here are four bold predictions in the Bears and Broncos matchup in Week 2.

4. Bradley Chubb and Von Miller Will Both Get Two Sacks

Entering the 2019 season, Fangio and the Broncos were anxious to see how Bradley Chubb and Von Miller improved together in their second offseason together. Last year, the dynamic duo of Chubb and Miller combined for 26.5 sacks.

Unfortunately, in Week 1, both of them were nonexistent versus the Raiders and they failed to get any sacks on Carr. The Raiders were able to suppress both pass rushers with the play of Kolton Miller and Trent Brown at both tackle positions.

This week, Chubb and Miller will be extra-motivated to get to Trubisky after disappointing in Week 1. They'll bounce back in Week 2 by tallying two sacks apiece against a Bears offensive line that gave up five sacks against the Packers.

3. David Montgomery Will Rush for 100 Yards

For much of the offseason, Nagy and some of the offensive players in Chicago began the hype train for rookie David Montgomery. Montgomery is expected to replace Jordan Howard's production but he was sparingly used in Week 1.

The Iowa State product was nowhere to be found in his first NFL start as Nagy refused to run the ball. As a result, the second-year head coach will make it a focus of theirs to get Montgomery going on the ground.

Last Thursday, Montgomery was only given six carries and he was only able to muster up 18 yards. The rookie rusher will flash his potential in the offense with his first career 100-yard game in Week 2 against the Broncos.

2. Trubisky Will Throw Four Interceptions

The fans in Chicago were anticipating to see a new and improved version of their third-year quarterback this season. On the contrary, Trubisky would look like a rookie in his first game under center in the 2019 season.

Throughout the game, Trubisky continued to make mental mistakes and he ended the game with just one interception but in reality; he should've had three or four of them.

In his first two seasons, Trubisky's single-game high in interceptions is three. The struggles will continue for the North Carolina alumn as he throws a career-high four interceptions on Sunday.

1. Broncos Defeat the Bears 24-20

It seems as if everyone believes that Chicago will travel to Denver and secure a must-win game in Week 2. Not so fast (in Lee Corso's voice), the Broncos are also fighting to get their first win for rookie head coach, Vic Fangio.

Fangio may be a rookie head coach but he is far from an amateur in the NFL with 30-plus years of experience as an assistant coach. Before becoming the head coach in Denver, Fangio was the Bears defensive coordinator from 2015-2018.

With this in mind, Fangio knows exactly what Chicago wants to do on both sides of the ball in this game. The 61-year-old head coach will secure his first victory in Week 2 over his former team in Denver's first home game of the season.
