Gegard Mousasi believes Johnny Elben may have to sell crack in order to fight him next. The Bellator MMA middleweight champion has made it clear he wants exciting fights against big names next.

Johnny Elben spent last week calling out the MMA champion and hoping to set up a fight. Gegard Mousasi didn't exactly pick up the callout when he was asked about it in an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri for CBS Sports.

“Who is Johnny Elben… I’ve never heard of him,” said MMA champion, Mousasi. “I had the same problem when I was coming up. I didn’t have any names [on my record] so they didn’t give me the fights I wanted. That’s the problem because, of course, the promotion wants to make signs that read me vs. Yoel Romero. That’s interesting; although, what’s that guy’s name, Johnny Elben? Maybe he’s a tougher opponent. But the promotion is going to do big-name vs. big name because fans want to see that. I have nothing against anybody. Maybe they have to sell some crack or hit somebody in the streets. Maybe that will make a name for them.”

It looks like Johnny Elben will have to resort to some extreme measures in order to fight Gegard Mousasi in MMA. Bellator will be hoping he doesn't resort to selling crack or even fighting someone in the streets.

It will have to be seen what Bellator MMA will do with Gegard Mousasi next in terms of his next title fight. Johnny Elben will be hoping to get the next opportunity but there are some fun options next.
