The Pittsburgh Steelers are about to get some reinforcements back, starting with franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers officially announced on Saturday morning that Big Ben has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. They expect the 2-time SuperBowl champ to start against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

This is definitely good news for the Steelers.

Aside from the 6-time Pro Bowler, Pittsburgh also activated offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins, running back Jaylen Samuels, and linebacker Vince Williams from the list.

The Steelers placed the four on the list on Tuesday after coming in close contact with TE Vance McDonald. McDonald tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday.

Fortunately for Pittsburgh, they didn't contract the virus and it seems like they won't spend any time on the sidelines. With the clearance, they should be able to join the lineup in their upcoming Week 10 game against the 2-5 Bengals.

Pittsburgh looks to keep its undefeated record in tact on Sunday. Certainly, having their usual deployments in tow should help them stay perfect in the 2020 season.

Despite the possibility that their starting quarterback will sit out, the Steelers have reportedly been practicing with with the mindset that Roethlisberger will play. So, even though he missed practice the entire week, it doesn't seem like they need to make major adjustments.

Likewise, coach Mike Tomlin is confident that missing practice will not impact the 17-year veteran all that much. Nonetheless, Pittsburgh will look to give Roethlisberger an extended walk-through and some in-helmet work ahead of Sunday's match. Kick-off between the Steelers and Bengals begins at 4:25 p.m.
