Former UCLA standout Lonzo Ball has not been met with open arms by some of the NBA's young stars after being selected as the second-overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in this year's NBA Draft.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid happens to be one of the Ball family's biggest critics, mainly because of Lonzo's outspoken father, LaVar Ball. Now, Embiid's fellow teammate Ben Simmons, has thrown even more shade at the face of Big Baller Brand.

On Thursday, the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ very own LeBron James took to Instagram after noticing that Lonzo was wearing a sweet pair of Nike Kobe A.D. sneakers at a Summer League game:

Simmons and Ball – and to a certain extent, Embiid – have yet to prove themselves worthy on the professional level after being dubbed as highly-prized recruits by their respective NBA teams. However, that hasn't stopped the two sides from clashing on social media.

One thing's for certain: the upcoming regular-season showdowns between the Lakers and Sixers will be very entertaining indeed given all the bad blood between the top players from both parties. Even though L.A. and Philly aren't necessarily expected to win plenty of games this season, it's the fans who'll end up as the real winners should Simmons, Embiid and Ball settle their online beef by playing some fantastic basketball against one another under the NBA spotlight instead.
