The Cincinnati Bengals are excited to have Joe Burrow as their future franchise quarterback despite being unable to have him work with his wide receivers due to the coronavirus pandemic. While teams are unable to have players meet with each other, A.J. Green is looking forward to playing catch with Burrow.

In a conversation with Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' team website, he said,

“We've been talking back and forth. We were talking (texting?) yesterday and I know he wants to get together and throw somewhere … I told him wherever he is, we'll come to him. I don't know where, when, how. It's all who can fly where and when. He's the quarterback. He makes his location and we have to get there.”

Whenever a rookie quarterback comes in, he will typically gather his wide receivers to begin building a rapport with them. However, due to the unusual circumstances of this offseason, that isn't going to be possible until the NFL allows it.

At the least, Green and Burrow appear to be in contact with one another, building chemistry off of the field. For Green, he is entering a pivotal year in his career after receiving the franchise tag from the Bengals earlier in the offseason.

Last season, Green failed to log a single game due to an ankle injury he sustained in training camp. Nevertheless, he's prepared to prove that he's worthy of another lucrative contract by putting together a productive season for Cincinnati in 2020.

Prior to the season, Green realizes how important it will be to get on the same page as Burrow. Even if Burrow wants to throw in his backyard at home, Green is prepared to make the trip to his rookie quarterback.
