A.J. Green has had a big season for the Cincinnati Bengals, but a toe injury forced him to miss last week's game against the New Orleans Saints. Marvin Lewis and company had hope that he would be able to work his way back into action this week against the Baltimore Ravens, but that hope is dwindling.

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Green is not expected to play against the Ravens this week due to the toe injury that he suffered ahead of the Bengals' bye week.

Simply hearing hope that he could return this week is a good sign for the Bengals' wide receiver. Green has dealt with toe injuries in the past. It sounds like he has been healing quickly and the team will hope that he can return in Week 12 to help them make a playoff push.

In the eight games that he has played with the Bengals this season, Green has caught 45 passes for 687 yards and six touchdowns. He is still one of the elite receivers in the NFL.

Cincinnati is in major need of picking up a win this week against their division rivals. They are currently 5-4 on the season and can take a big step forward towards the playoffs with a win this week.

Assuming Green is forced to miss this week's game, the Bengals will rely heavily on Tyler Boyd. He has stepped up in a big way this season and has become a true weapon for Andy Dalton.

Expect to hear more about Green throughout the next week. Cincinnati has a big game next week against the Cleveland Browns and will hope that their star receiver can rejoin the lineup.
