The talk of the Cincinnati Bengals offseason has been whether or not they are going to select Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. But A.J. Green is also an interesting storyline that could determine the type of offseason the Bengals have. In an article for ESPN, Jeremy Fowler spoke to an NFC executive that believes Green ‘wants out of Cincinnati'.

Back in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Bengals selected Green with the fourth overall pick out of Georgia. Throughout his first five seasons in the NFL, Green was one of the best receivers in the league. Altogether, the polished wideout hauled in 415 receptions for 6,171 yards and 45 touchdowns in his first five years.

However, in the past three seasons, injuries have prevented the seven-time Pro Bowler from performing at an elite level. Just this season, Green missed the entire year due to an ankle injury he suffered in training camp.

Over the past few years, there have been rumors of Green wanting to be traded elsewhere. The veteran receiver hasn't shown any signs of wanting out of Cincinnati. But next month, Green is going to be an unrestricted free agent and could choose to sign with another team.

Despite him having a choice to leave, the Bengals are making it a priority to re-sign Green. With that being said, it remains to be seen if Green is confident in the future of the Bengals franchise.

There are people that believe that Burrow could strong-arm his way out of being selected by the Bengals in the upcoming draft. The murmurs of Burrow's uncertainty likely doesn't make Green as comfortable as he would like to be with Cincinnati. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise if Green moves to greener pastures this offseason.
