The Cincinnati Bengals have been without the services of Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Green over the last couple of weeks due to a foot injury.

This will extend to a second straight game being out of the lineup as he has been declared out for Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network.

Green has been making progress in his recovery from the injury over the last several days that have had some put forth some encouraging signs that he isn't that far removed from being able to get back onto the field. The decision to keep him off another week may just be a precautionary measure in order to avoid any possible setbacks.

He is a major piece of the puzzle as the driving force in the passing game as the top target over the years. Green has been off to yet another strong start to the season posting 45 catches for 687 receiving yards and six touchdowns in eight games played. He is currently trajected to finish with 80 catches for 1,221 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. That would mark the seventh time in his career that will have recorded 1,000 receiving yards and fourth with double-digit touchdowns.

Before the injury, he had been picking it up a bit that saw him post a pair of 100 receiving yard performances in two out of the last four games played. Green has also notched more than 50 receiving yards and at least four catches in each contest. His absence will shift much of the workload in the passing game to third-year wideout Tyler Boyd, who is in the midst of a breakout campaign with 52 receptions for 685 receiving yards and five touchdowns. The Bengals have the tough task ahead of them in Week 11 going up against a stout Ravens defense that ranks second against the pass this season.
