Watch out, Snacks (Damon Harrison). Chris Baker is gunning for you.

The Cincinnati Bengals new employee firmly believes he can return to playing at the highest of levels in the NFL, as the best defensive tackle in the game, via Dan Hoard of the Bengals official website.

“I know the type of player that I am capable of being if I am given the opportunity to go out there and show what I can do,” Baker said. “I know I can return to being one of the best defensive tackles in this game. I’m working my butt off each and every day and now that I’m with a coaching staff that believes in my ability, I’ll show everybody what I can do.”

Baker, 30, has played eight seasons in the league with four different teams.

After coming into the league with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, he moved on to the Miami Dolphins for a season. It wasn't until the 2012 NFL season with the Washington Redskins that Baker finally broke through. He played 14 games in 2012, started three games in 2013 and then eventually became an NFL-starting defensive tackle during the 2014 season with the Skins.

A year ago in Tampa Bay, Baker struggled mightily in only posting 0.5 sacks and finding himself pushed around a ton in the running game.

With Cincinnati, he hopes to challenge the best of the league. He's certainly not lacking any confidence.
