Tyler Eifert may be lost for the season, but the Cincinnati Bengals will finally get Vontaze Burfict back in Week 5. Eifert broke his ankle in a 37-36 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4.

Vontaze Burfict just completed a four-game suspension he got for violating the NFL's league performance-enhancing substances policy. They an important offensive weapon, but hope Burfict can help them pick up the slack on defense.

“Instincts (are) one thing, but just to have him on the field, I definitely feel like that game we lost we wouldn't have lost if we had him,” Bengals quarterback cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick told the team's official website. “He just brings something different. He's a veteran guy. He's a guy that's known out there on the field. And guys have to worry about him. I definitely feel that with the instincts he brings to the game, he's always one step ahead.”

The Bengals have given up the sixth most yards in the NFL this season. They're giving up 28.3 points a game to the opposition, but still remain 3-1. With Eifert out, they won't be able to defend on their explosive offense to keep them in games as much.

Vontaze Burfict has a reputation for being a dirty player. However, his teammates know he is a tremendous asset for them. He's a leader that they need back on the field.

“Everybody knows he's an emotional player and I feel like he's worked tremendously hard this offseason to try to control the things that happen on the field and the outcome of them,” said Kirkpatrick. “He's one of the leaders on this team and we welcome him back. We're happy to have him back.”

Tyler Eifert will be missed, but the Bengals are making all the right moves to prepare for a season without him.
