The Cincinnati Bengals appear to be on the cusp of a significant rebuild this offseason. Fortunately, they will have more than enough resources to help them kickstart the process.

It has been deemed a foregone conclusion that the Bengals will take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Eliot Crist of TQE, they could potentially shore up as much as $60 million in cap space to work with:

Cincinnati has a number of voids to address on both sides of the ball if they hope to spark a potential resurgence in the 2020 NFL season. As a result, they will need to use every resource at their disposal to assist with the arrival of Burrow.

In order to do so, the Bengals will need to start by releasing quarterback Andy Dalton. Although they have been hesitant to acknowledge the end of the Dalton era, the writing has long been on the wall. Releasing Dalton will clear up $17.7 million in cap space for them to help surround Burrow with a stronger supporting cast.

It remains to be seen what Cincinnati has planned for wide receiver A.J. Green's future. Meanwhile, there are a number of intriguing options set to hit the market that could make an immediate impact such as Indianapolis Colts left tackle Anthony Costanzo and linebacker Cory Littleton.

There is also the matter of running back Joe Mixon's looming contract extension. The Bengals could look to get a head start on that before some of the other more high-profile running backs in the NFL re-set the market.
