Any Pittsburgh Steelers loss is a cause of joy for Cincinnati Bengals fans — so much joy, in fact, that they have been donating money to Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles' foundation after his team kicked Pittsburgh out of the playoffs. Jacksonville ended Pittsburgh's Super Bowl dreams with a 45-42 win at Heinz Field in the divisional round last Sunday.

From First Coast News:

More than 100 Cincinnati Bengals fans have expressed their thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars for beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday by donating to the Blake Bortles Foundation.

The nearly $5,000 in contributions donated so far started to come in after the Jaguars beat the Bengals’ rival, the Steelers, 45-42.

The Bengals and the Steelers have one of the most intense rivalries in all of football, and their brand of enmity often times spill out of the football field. This kind of gesture from Cincinnati fans, however, is the unique type of rivalry practice that is not violent and vitriolic in nature, but rather altruistic.

These generous Bengals fans are simply paying it forward, too. It was not long ago when Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton’s own charity foundation got flooded with donations from grateful Buffalo Bills fans after Cincinnati beat the Baltimore Ravens back in Week 17, thus rolling the red carpet to the postseason for the Bills.

If this is going to be a trend, then Bortles could expect his foundation to take a barrage of donations from all over the country should the Jaguars beat the Evil Empire of the NFL this coming Sunday.
