The Cincinnati Bengals appear to be set to usher in significant changes under center this offseason. Regardless, it seems they're hoping to keep their supporting cast on offense intact, starting with wide receiver AJ Green.

Take note: AJ Green is coming off a lost year in the 2019 NFL season due to an ankle injury. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Head coach Zac Taylor says bringing him back will be a point of emphasis this offseason, via RosterWatch:

Just asked Zac Taylor off podium if AJ Green was a priority for the Bengals to bring back and he said he definitely is. Said he is back healthy and a huge weapon; says the plan is for him to remain in Cindy but there will have to be contract conversations this spring.

There had been plenty of speculation regarding Cincinnati's long-term plans for AJ Green during the 2019 campaign. Despite a number of conflicting reports, Taylor has now acknowledged the team's desire to bring him back.

AJ Green has long established himself as one of the NFL's elite wideouts while serving as the No. 1 option in the Bengals passing game. It is safe to say that there will be no shortage of interest in a seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro on the market this offseason. Despite coming off a serious injury, the 31-year-old has indicted that he would still like to be paid as such.

It remains to be seen whether or not Green's price tag is too steep for the Bengals in the midst of their current rebuild.
