The Cincinnati Bengals lost another close game, and the Cardinals were the latest recipients for their inability to win football games. It seems like they're bound for another high pick in the 2020 Draft.

While it's tempting for the team to blow up the roster and get draft picks to start the rebuild, there's one playmaker Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick believes should stay with the team through the rebuild: AJ Green.

Bengals Wire's Chris Rolling wrote of the corner's stern warning to the front office:

“It better not happen. It’s going to fall apart if you do that. That’s our best player on the team. He’s not even out there. We don’t know how the team really should look. They can’t do that. I’m a team player first. I rally around my guys. That would really hurt my spirit if he walked out this door … I want everybody to stay. I want to win here. I don’t want to go anywhere. I’m not just a player for the Bengals. I do things in the community. A lot of guys in here do.”

AJ Green is beloved in the Bengals roster for his quality play. He's notched 8,907 receiving yards and 63 touchdowns in his career so far, proving himself an important piece in the Bengals offense. He also declared his loyalty to Cincinnati, saying that he wants to play for only one team his entire career.

However, the Bengals can fetch a first-round selection for the receiver. If they intend to rebuild through the draft, then making the trade would be the most sensible option to make.

The team has made it clear that they don't want that to happen though. And only God knows what will happen to the Bengals if the team pulls the trigger on a Green trade.
