For months, Joe Burrow has been the presumptive No. 1 pick for the Cincinnati Bengals and everyone has shared their opinion on the quarterback prospect. With two months to go until the draft, Hue Jackson made a bold statement about Burrow (via Chris Roling in Bengals Wire).

“He’s going to change the landscape of the Cincinnati Bengals, in my opinion,” Jackson said on the Pat McAfee Show.

Just a year ago, not many people knew who Burrow was and wouldn't be able to recognize who he was in public. But after his final season at LSU, Burrow skyrocketed up draft boards as he put together arguably the greatest collegiate season for a quarterback.

This season, Burrow completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards. In addition, he also recorded 60 passing touchdowns and only threw six interceptions as LSU won the National Championship.

Burrow, an Ohio native, is expected to be selected by the Bengals with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Despite his remarkable campaign in 2019, some are skeptical that his game will translate to the NFL. On the other hand, Jackson thinks highly of the incoming rookie.

It's important to note that Jackson was once the offensive coordinator for the Bengals before he accepted the head coaching job with the Cleveland Browns. Therefore, he knows the hardships that come with playing for a franchise like the Bengals.

Since 1990, Cincinnati hasn't been able to secure a victory in the playoffs. In the event that the Bengals do make Burrow the first overall pick, they're hoping he can end the three-decade-long playoff drought.
